Duniya ka sabse neech kaam/ The most debased act possible

बहुधा मन में विचार आता था 

कि दुनिया का 

सबसे नीच काम क्या है? 

आज, बहुत मंथन के बाद 

निश्चय किया है 

कि मेरी मति से 

दुनिया का सब से नीच काम है 

बच्चों, 

फूलों, 

शब्दों,

और खाने वाले अन्न 

को लेकर 

कोइ 

प्रतियोगिता कराना

ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਰਹਯਾ 

ਕੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ 

ਸਬਤੋਂ ਭੈੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀ ਹੈ 

ਸਬਤੋਂ ਵਡਾ ਪਾਪ 

ਸਬਤੋਂ ਡੂੰਗੀ ਖਾਈ 

ਆਜ ਜਾਪਦਾ 

ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨੋਂ, 

ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਬਤੋਂ ਵਡਾ ਪਾਪ ਹੈ 

ਨਯਾਨਆਂ 

ਫੁੱਲਾਂ 

ਰੋਟੀ 

ਜਾਂ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਦਾ 

ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ 

ਕੋਈ 

ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਾਣਾ । 

i used to often wonder

what might 

the basest thing be 

the worst, absolutely the most dastardly thing 

to do. 

Today, realised that 

in my mind

the worst thing ever, the most debauched 

is to hold a competition 

for 

flowers 

children 

food 

or words.
