Thoughts from Meditation - On Spiritual pursuit

अध्यात्म की खोज क्या है? 

इतना सुख, कि इंसान का भगवान पर विश्वास बना रहे, और 

इतना दुख, कि इंसान की भगवान से प्रार्थना बनी रहे। 

वो मोक्ष, जिसकी हम सब याचना करते हैं, किसी फैरो (मिश्र के बादशाह) की कब्र के जैसा है। हमें मुक्ति चाहिए, पर अपनी पसंदीदा किताबों, गहनों, सेवकों के साथ। सब कुछ जो त्याज्य है, उसे तजना हमारे अपने वक्ष में है। तो फिर भगवान से मोक्ष की याचना क्यूँ? 

What is Spiritual pursuit? 

Enough comfort, so Man may believe in God. Enough pain, so Man may seek God. 

The spiritual communion or growth that we seek is like the grave of a pharaoh - we want to leave all this behind, but accompanied by our favourite books, jewelry, and slaves. 

Think about it: Every attachment to materialism that should be given up on the spiritual path, it is in our power to give it up. Yet, we seek God's benevolence in renunciation. Why? Because it is not renunciation we seek. It is peace and a sense of joy/happiness.
