Book Review: IT @ D Day

146 pages.

What happens when the product becomes the producer?

Will AI become our collective Frankenstein - is a question that is often posed, but never answered.

Stephen Hawking was convinced that it is very likely.

In this book, the author explores the hypothetical scenario in which a supercomputer, when faced with a shutdown by its creator, turns on the scientist and starts to hunt him down.

The thriller is reasonably fast paced and has a lot of action and drama.

Some scenarios force us to think.

The great thing about this book is that there aren't that many fiction books available in this specific genre. And it's a very interesting genre - the interface between AI and Natural Intelligence. I think more work in the genre should be published and the existing work should be shared more widely.

It's a good read for a lazy Sunday afternoon, because we then have the whole week to think about the uncomfortable questions that should necessarily arise after the book.
