Diwali prayer:
Let us, this year, light up a life,
Let us, this year, cleanse the within
Let us, this year, distribute the sweetmeats of kind words and RAKs(Random Acts of Kindness)..
Happy Diwali.. now, and forver...
And this here, is something that someone else wrote, and it says what I want to say:
एक अन्तर मन है, जिस का बढ़ना ज़रूरी है,
एक अन्तर दूरी है, जिस का घटना ज़रूरी है।
Let us, this year, light up a life,
Let us, this year, cleanse the within
Let us, this year, distribute the sweetmeats of kind words and RAKs(Random Acts of Kindness)..
Happy Diwali.. now, and forver...

Day of the Dead here, kind of a gruesome holiday, but when in Rome...
I don't know what 'Diwali' is but that certainly is a beautiful prayer.
So in your tradition I wish you my friend and all of my Indian friends a
'Happy Diwali'.
Hi Bhai with chai: Bahut saal pehle, Doordarshan ne sikhaya :-)
Hi Tanvi: happy Diwali to u too! How was it?
Hi Phos: True! Thats why all festivals are in winters methinks. Too bad ur comp had to go for maintenance on THE day of elections.. hope u will post soon after that.
Hi Dharma: :-) u too.
Hi Human being: Where have u gone? I have been staring at ur last post.. and blankly just staring !
Hi exseno: :-) Its a Festival of lights.. a lot like Christmas.. u give gifts, you decorate the house, there is lighting, lots of goodies to eat and so on.. I call this the Indian Christmas.. in its most original form, the festival lasts 5-7 days! Most people now do just 3 days of celebrating.
ohh.. i never knew that.. i esp came back to read that quote!
:)
Nice pic.. I hope u had a great Diwali.
