कुछ हमेशा 

हौसला देने वाली 

कुछ आँसू पोंछतीं  

कुछ बचपन की कल्पनाओं को 

शब्द देतीं 

कुछ 

जो मन की मुराद दिला दें 

बस एक खत में बैठ कर 

कुछ खिलखिला कर हंसने वालीं  

कुछ मोती से आँसू बहातीं 

कुछ दयालु, कुछ नटखट 

कविताएँ 

असल में

परियाँ होती हैं 

**** 

One, who pats my back 

And one that wipes a tear. 

One puts me gently to bed

And one helps me clearly see. 

One, that laughs like tinker bell, 

And one that cries with me. 

One that is naughty 

And one that's haughty. 

One that brings dreams alive, 

And one that helps bury. 

Every poem (I'm sure of it), 

is, in truth, a fairy. 

Note: The theme is the same, but the English is NOT a translation of the Hindi version. They are two different poems.
