Amazing isn't it! Sounds can even define ones environment. In one of my classes we were asked to capture the first five sounds we hear (not listen to) in the morning; the results were a revealation!
I have the same thing only with huskies. Yukon howls when he wants soemthing and it isn't wise to ignore an animal with half-inch fangs, I don't care how domesticated he is!!
When I think of it, its so true!

Hi id it is: Yep, i also try to do that exercise sometimes - to close your eyes and focus on the sounds for about a minute. The results are great!
